QiOn offers a long-life warranty up to 15,000 cycles with possibility for extension. In addition, QiOn offers installation, monitoring and maintenance services on request. QiOn battery packs are IP68. Proprietary pre‑heating logic to rapidly bring cells to optimal temperature for high‑speed discharge, particularly relevant for grid services (for example: frequency regulation). Proprietary charging dynamics algorithms and curve regulation to optimize charging behavior, efficiency, and long‑term battery health.

Q‑TMS

Q‑TMS is an adaptive liquid Thermal Management System designed, developed and patented by QiOn, engineered to provide active cooling, heating, and thermal stabilization of battery packs within energy storage systems. The system operates across an extended environmental range from −30°C to +60°C, ensuring reliable functionality in extreme climatic conditions. Through multifunctional thermal regulation, Q‑TMS dynamically adjusts heat exchange in real time, maintaining uniform temperature distribution across battery modules and preventing thermal gradients that could affect performance or lifespan.

This closed‑loop thermal architecture allows the storage system to operate independently of external HVAC rooms, reducing infrastructure requirements and simplifying installation logistics.

Q‑TMS outperforms air‑cooled and conventional liquid systems with higher efficiency, faster response, and uniform temperature control. Its predictive, workload‑aware regulation reduces thermal stress and hotspots, extending battery life and lowering thermal runaway risk—without the need for external HVAC infrastructure.

Q‑FES

Not all thermal events are the same. QiOn's Fire Extinguishing System is a proprietary 5 level system combining prevention, detection, suppression, and cooling in a progressive response scaled to event severity.

Unlike traditional systems focused solely on extinguishing, Q‑FES is designed to anticipate and interrupt thermal escalation at the earliest stages, drastically reducing the probability of a fire event and limiting its impact on the overall system.

PCS

A technology with an active controlling system present on each rack, enabling flexible individual output voltage regulation and charge/discharge rates of 0.125C / 0.25C / 0.5C / 1C / 2C. QiOn's proprietary PCS supports both Grid-Forming (GFM) and Grid-Following (GFL) operating modes — giving every QiOn BESS the flexibility to adapt to any grid condition.

In Grid-Forming mode, the system acts as a voltage source: it establishes its own frequency and voltage reference, enabling black-start capability, isolated off-grid operation, and full stability support in weak or low-inertia grids. In Grid-Following mode, it operates as a current source, synchronising with the existing grid via PLL to deliver precise active and reactive power — optimised for grid-tied applications, frequency regulation, and peak shaving.

The result: a single BESS platform capable of anchoring microgrids, stabilising weak infrastructure, and seamlessly integrating into strong utility networks — without compromise.
