Châtillon, September 26, 2025 — A new milestone in sustainable mobility has been announced in Valle d'Aosta. CVA SpA — Compagnia Valdostana delle Acque and V.I.T.A. S.p.A. have signed an agreement that combines renewable energy, zero-emission vehicles, and robust charging technology provided by QiOn.
A regional project for clean mobility
The agreement between CVA and V.I.T.A. calls for the installation of ten fast charging stations across Pont-Saint-Martin, Quart, Arnad, and Ivrea. These stations will support the operation of V.I.T.A.'s new electric bus fleet — including the IC12E (12 m), U10 (10 m), and E9 (9 m) models manufactured by Yutong.

CVA will also supply V.I.T.A. with 100% green electricity sourced from renewables, ensuring that both the vehicles and the charging infrastructure contribute directly to the decarbonization of regional transport. This project aligns with the "Fossil Fuel Free 2040" roadmap adopted by the Valle d'Aosta Region — a strategic commitment to the Paris Agreement and IPCC guidelines.
Shaping the path toward public transit electrification
This initiative demonstrates how the transition to sustainable mobility succeeds when all components are aligned:
- Electric buses provide cleaner, quieter, and healthier transport options for citizens.
- Renewable energy ensures that charging is not just emission-free at the tailpipe but also at the source.
- Robust charging infrastructure guarantees long-term operability and reliability, ensuring fleets can run smoothly day after day.
Public transport electrification is more than a technological upgrade — it is a long-term investment in the resilience and efficiency of communities. By integrating vehicles, charging infrastructure, and renewable energy supply into a unified framework, Valle d'Aosta establishes a distinguished model of public transport electrification for other regions to follow.
QiOn's contribution: the Maveriq
QiOn is proud to contribute its technology to this project through the Maveriq DC fast charger.
The Maveriqs were designed as compact and scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly into public transport environments. Built from resistant industrial-grade materials and supported by 24/7 remote monitoring, they ensure reliable, safe, and efficient charging sessions in every environment.

From cities to industrial operations, the Maveriq represents the type of durable infrastructure that makes projects like this viable for decades to come.
Looking ahead: QiOn's commitment
At QiOn, we see this partnership as proof of what's possible when energy providers, transport operators, and technology developers work hand in hand. The CVA–V.I.T.A. initiative shows how a carefully curated ecosystem of buses, renewable energy, and charging infrastructure can deliver results that are future-ready and community-focused.
QiOn is ready to support cities, governments, and industries worldwide with a comprehensive portfolio of solutions — from AC and DC charging systems to advanced battery storage for industrial operations, ports, and even marine applications.
